rise
“As long as there is life, there is a potential; and as long as there is a potential, there will be a success! You will sprout again when cut down! You will rise again even when you fall!”
― Israelmore Ayivor
An attempt to make a building Self Sustainable, life-like, dynamic and interesting space which happily holds the happy souls at work and play.
The design Project is to design a Commercial Complex with a Public plaza. A place welcoming all kinds of people for spending their quality time here.
Located right at cross Road Junction, with a metro line along side. Each metro station about 1/2 km away. Cashing in this benefit of location and the economy of the site, an idea to maximize the visual impact an office building could normally have came up.
Hence, creating an Architectural Landmark was another objective.
Along with aesthetics from outside, Aesthetics inside is equally important. Enriching the building interiors with ample natural light is of utmost importance. Hence, the form is absolutely an outcome of the climatically favorable portions of mass which is most suitable to grow on the permissible area to build from the allotted plot- rest of it left for offsets as per the building codes. This lead to ways of working for sustainability.

A building-a space is a whole entity that is open to all natural resources on the exterior and encloses life inside safely against them all. IDEA- HOW TO UTILIZE THIS SHELTER AS A MODULE OF POWER GENERATOR ITSELF?
Solar Energy-Solar Panels
Bio Energy-Bio Gas Plants
Water Sourcing-Rain Water Harvesting
Wind Energy-?
It is now a Myth that Large open spaces and high elevated terrains only can house wind generators.
Every nook and corner, every cross road, every junction and High Rise Buildings- All have winds ranging from 2-3 kmph to 50-100 kmph or more.
MICRO WIND TURBINES
A small wind turbine is a wind turbine used for microgeneration, as opposed to large commercial wind turbines, such as those found in wind farms, with greater individual power output. The smaller turbines may be as small as a 50 Watt auxiliary power generator for a boat, caravan, or miniature refrigeration unit.
This is a design of the canopy for a High-Rise Building in Mumbai where the wind speed is mere 16kmph. But the performance is successful in harnessing 36M Watts of energy Per annum - Enough to light the structure throughout the year.
Each wind panel rotates about the vertical axis placed along the geometry of the structure. Thus making the a wind energy generation system. The Canopy form is specifically modified to get an aerodynamic shape to direct the winds from the cross roads to the wind panel system, thus making it workable.
