SANSKRITI

Natyam- Dance- Fluidity ~in Form

Sangeetam- Music- Pattern & Rhythm ~in Spaces

Prakriti- Nature- Peace ~in Landscape

This is how the concept has been derived entirely from the Client's character.

Mythili & Kalyanasundaram are great Bharatnatyam Dancers. Sri Raja Rajeshwari Kalavidyalaya is 80 Years old and is their family Art & Profession. The entire family has devoted themselves to the Classical South Indian Forms of Art- Carnatic music & Bharatnatyam dance. Their dedication towards the art and their own culture is Strict and Unshakable.

With changing times, they keep updating themselves with all technology but never let go of their customs. Hence, as a model of their sheer will & love towards their tradition~ Sanskriti, this house stands- a modern example of classical art.

This project specifically is dealt with so delicately such that neither the client nor the site is left out of consideration and a well amalgamated design evolves as a result.

The site offered just as much of character to the design as the client's ideology. Open Views as one can chalk out the horizons. Reflecting and Sparkling water gently touches the site as breezes and waves crash the coast.

The design delicately embraces the site and allows the water to merge into its space. The form opens itself to the splendid views and warm north light. Using the existing contours and creating some more with the excavated soil on site, the walkway up to the temple is designed. The path that takes each person into a zone of solitude and isolation as he finds himself embracing the nature around. The dance platform, just above the land, open and clear above water backed by the mountains acting as a backdrop make it the best place to perform and practice.
